These lovely all-purpose pencils are made by independent pencilmaker Tim, here in the UK, from recycled CDs. They're good for both writing and drawing, leads leaning a little to the H side and they sharpen very cleanly - and make a nice sound when they clack together.

I always wanted to sell my own pencil packs, so I asked Tim to match 7 specific colours (7 because it's my favourite number) based on the colours of our Japanese car collection - we supplied RAL numbers, check out the pictures -  and the gentle tones of early 80s design, before we hit the neons! The CDs is a format originating in Japan and was just getting into its stride when the these early-80s colours were in use - so there's a poetic full-circle of design going on here. I wonder what music is playing in the pencils as you write with them?

Though the leads are all the same, the colours of the pencils are Aqua Grey, Pinkymole, Terracotta, Ivory, Olive grey, Aluminium and Dashboard Grey. Use for maps, lists, notes or ideas for playlists.

Postage is  large-letter, tracked delivery.
